Daniel Joel Burllaile aka EconomicJoe offender and scammer

A year ago i had the misfortune of meeting this guy.

His name is Daniel Joel Burllaile and he currently lives in the Netherlands. He is Argentinian and he emigrated from his natal land in 2018.

I felt victim to Burllaile and his friends last year when i wanted to buy an oled tv on Mercadolibre, the argentine version of Amazon. This guy didn’t work alone, was part of a criminal gang dedicated to make online scams. And he was the leader.

In the publications they made in Mercadolibre they insisted on contacting them through WhatsApp to carry out the operations, since they published the contact number in photos of the products.

When they were contacted by that phone number, it was always Burllaile who made the negotiations. He claimed to be “Darío Martinez”, an employee of the company “Samsonapp Importaciones”.

He tried to convince people to pay for the products they supposedly offered by bank deposit or through Mercadopago, a Mercadolibre platform to send money, without the possibility of seeing them before.

Under the pretext that Mercadopago is supposedly a secure platform or that in bank deposits everything is registered, he managed to scam a lot of people, including me.

As he was at that moment in Spain, he transferred the money of the scammed people to the ICBC bank account of his friend and accomplice Sergio Gabriel Magallan, who kept a percentage and sent the rest to Burllaile. Magallan lives in Argentina, and that is why he could do this.

To fulfill his mission, Burllaile created several Mercadolibre accounts registered with apocryphal names such as Jerónimo González, Diego Armando López Chambyque or Matías Ezequiel Foggia Di Tullio, the latter a close friend of him. If one account was reported to the website, he continued to operate with another.

He was even able to register an account in the name of his girlfriend, Giuliana Loncar, and cheat people with that account.

Burllaile has other accomplices that are currently being investigated in Argentina, and he cannot return to his country because if he does, he has a high probability of going to prison for his criminal records.

And as if all this was not enough, Burllaile had the nerve to fake a degree in economics from the UBA and show the false diploma in social networks. He also stated he had two masters degree in economics and was studying for a phd in Madrid. All claims that turned out to be completely false. Burllaile doesn’t have a college degree, he isn’t an economist and he is a swindler, a mythomaniac and a humbug.

He has several criminal complaints in Argentina in which his crimes were more than proven, so there is no defamation in this fair and deserved escrache for an unscrupulous person.

Any interested party could contact the media in which this guy was exposed and will be informed about the courts where the current cases against him and his band are being prosecuted.

Burllaile had a high profile on the Internet since he had a YouTube channel, "EconomicJoe", in which he presented himself as a liberal and anti-system economist who exposed political corruption. Notice the hypocrisy of this man.

In April of this year, his crimes were exposed on the networks by scammed people, and the guy disappeared, eliminating his YouTube channel and his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Before disappearing, and under a pathetic victimization strategy, he said in his networks that he was going to commit suicide.

In early October, Burllaile returns to the Internet in a Twitch broadcast in which he says it was not him who said he was going to kill himself, but an imitator. He also said that the reason for his disappearance was due to YouTube didn’t want to monetize his videos. It wasn't credible. This scammer needed to erase the evidence against him, and many comments on his channel with pseudonyms he also uses to scam. It didn't help much because several captures were taken.

Upon his return, he said "his impersonator" apologized and gave him full access to a new YouTube channel where he was uploading old videos.

He made it clear that he no longer has social networks, with the exception of YouTube, and that he will concentrate his activity on Twitch. That's where he revealed that he is an expert in programming and cybersecurity, and that locating him was going to be very difficult.

Some people who were scammed, furious about his return, faced him on YouTube, but Burllaile threatened to hack them and disclose all their personal data, presuming his computer skills. These conversations are in spanish, since the transmissions and videos that Burllaile makes are in that language.

This guy is dangerous, he knows how to hide and many people still believe in his lies and support him.

If someone knows Burllaile and was a victim of him, don't be afraid to speak. We are many people affected and, in the end, there will be justice.
